Today the USA-class have been Golden-gating. Not jumping off, although this is considered the most popular place for jumping without parachute, but walk over. A nice, long, warm and playful walk along the San Francisco Bay with the locals swimming closest to the shore, the kayakers paddling a little farther off and the container ships passing back and forth further out.
After one hour of shore-walking we reached the famous bridge, an architectural achievement in the 1930s that is still admired today.
We admired it eating ecological ice cream, taking pictures and feeling it swaying under our feet as we conquered it feet by feet. That’s goldengating.
